Choirs of Note™ Choir Schedule
THURSDAY, MAY 1, 2008
6:30 PM - Festival Representatives will meet choirs at hotels
7:00 PM - Move to the Schwan Community Center for the Performing Arts (SCCPA)
(NOTE: Each high school is responsible for transportation to and from each venue)
7:30 PM - Opening ceremony, Mass Choir rehearsal, Songfest
10:00 PM - All choirs released to return to accommodations
FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2008
7:00 AM - Continental breakfast provided for each choir member at hotels
7:30 AM to 11:30 AM - Choirs rotate between rehearsing at SCCPA, and touring SMSU
11:45 AM - Lunch - (Location TBD)
1:30 PM - Adjudication of Choirs - SCCPA
4:00 PM - Mass Choir Rehearsal - SCCPA
5:30 PM - Return to Accommodations
6:30 PM - Student dinner, dance and party at SMSU
6:30 PM - Directors Huddle, Marshall Golf Club - Directors, Dale Warland, and adjudicators convene for professional discussions and exchanges. (Transportation provided)
7:30 PM - Directors Dinner - With Warland, adjudicators, and major sponsors
10:00 PM - All choirs released
SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2008
7:00 AM - Continental breakfast provided for each choir member at hotels
7:30 AM - SMSU Fine Arts Theatre
7:50 AM - Movement to Clinic Rooms, individually assigned by choir
8:00 AM - Individual Choir Clinics
11:30 AM - Lunch and Group Activities
3:00 PM - Mass Choir Rehearsal - SCCPA
4:00 PM - Concert Dress Rehearsal
5:30 PM - Dinner (on site)
6:30 PM - Pre-Concert Preparations
7:00 PM Concert - SHOWTIME!
8:45 PM to 9:30 PM - Inspection & Release
Each choir will be assigned an area backstage. Prior to being released, each of these areas will be inspected and confirmed that they are in the same or better condition as when assigned.
